End of season Party

We will have our end of the year mom's vs boys game on May 27th at 6:00 at the MCA softball field. PLEASE DO NOT MENTION TO THE KIDS THAT THEY WILL BE PLAYING THE MOM'S!! I am going to treat it as if we are having a scrimmage. We will be wearing our uniforms. I am thinking that we will have pizza and ice cream after . I need some volunteers to pick up the pizza and to keep the ice cream cold during the game. Please email me and I will pass it along to everyone. Thanks for a great season!

O Brien Tournament

I have talked to the tournament director and am comfortable playing in this tournament. I will reschedule our Saturday game with the scorpions to allow for us to play in the tourney. the only issue will be if a few of the teams for some reason dropout between now and then. unfortunately this happens quite often in our age group. So, we are at the mercy of several elements out of our control. One of those being that the competition we will be facing is an unknown. I am trusting that we will not be facing teams such as the "Mighty Ducks", but I don't know that for certain. I don't know the guy and he could just be trying to get enough teams to fill a tournament. I think we will be fine no matter what. PLEASE LET ME KNOW NOW OF ANY CONFLICTS YOU MAY HAVE THAT WEEKEND! It is very difficult to plan around 13 kids with no notice. Any conflicts can be resolved as long as I have enough notice. Please email me with questions. PICTURES AND PRACTICE

Wow! Great game tonight. I am so proud of how well the team played together. It"s fun to have close games like that. We will practice at MCA Wednesday as close to 5 as you can get. we will not practice again until our scrimmage on the 29th.

Pictures will be on April 30th before our game at 5. This is the only time they had (its assigned) and we can't be late! If you are late, you will miss the picture.

Thanks to those who are helping me. It means a lot. Also, thanks to you who are working with you kids. You can really see a difference.

Game and Things

Please be at the game Monday at 5:30. The boys did a great job today, thanks for everyone who came.
I've had some questions on additional pullovers, shirts ,hats etc. Please email me if anyone wants or needs anything logoed. I have an account set up with the Bulls logo and if there is anything you want I can get it taken care of. I also have two adult hats if someone wants one, let me know.
Please keep working with your boys on the fundamentals using the handouts I gave and the link provided on this web page. Let me know if you have any questons.

Please Read Carefully!!

Wow! What a great win! The boys played really well and I now have a good idea what to work on. For our first game I thought we did extremely good. Check the jenksbaseball.com website after 7 :30 for information on tomorrow.

My fault for not telling you this the other day, but everyone needs to be at the field at least 30 minutes prior to the game.

More on practice tomorrow but as of now we will practice on Wednesday next week at METRO CHRISTIAN at 5:00.

Tomorrow will be cold and baseball is different from other sports in that we will not be moving around a lot. Please make sure that your son has both top and bottom base layers on. I'm not as concerned about matching on a 45 degree day! Bring a heavy coat for the dugout when they are sitting still. We are going to have a good time. Thanks for being patient with all the emails.

March 7-9 Tournament Schedule

REVISED: March 6, 2008 @ 3:30pm

Call the rain-out number: 488-7888 in the event of rainy weather or wet field conditions. The gates will open 50-minutes before the first scheduled game. If games are changed due to weather, a revised schedule will be posted on the website (http://www.jenksbaseball.com/). Once pool play is complete, the single-elimination tournament schedule will be posted on the league website. Coaches will not be called. Coaches that do not have access to the league website can call the Tournament Director (Michael Devience) at 918-633-5381.

I have just been informed that the pants will not be in until next week. Please wear white pants for this weekend. sorry for the trouble, I ordered them weeks ago! Let me know if this is an issue.

Tournament Change

March 7-9 USSSA Tournament at JYB
Due to the weather, we are making changes to the schedules for the March 7-9 USSSA Tournament tournament.
Schedules will be revised to eliminate games on Friday night and Saturday morning. We are scheduling teams for one game on Saturday afternoon. Sundays schedule will remain the same. All teams will play at least two games.
The revised schedules should be posted early Thursday afternoon. Sunday's weather still looks great.

tournament comments

well we have the schedule and lucky us, we drew 2 of the best teams(don't tell the boys)! Just remember that no matter what happens, it's EARLY IN THE SEASON and if we don't win it's no indication of how hard we've worked. We should be competitive regardless and we will have fun!

Sorry Easter is the 23rd, not the last weekend. the calendar is correct. practice on the 24th.

O.K. I guess some of you aren't as die hard as the rest of us. Just kidding, I didnt realize the last Sunday in March is Easter Sunday. Very important day (or should be!) for all of us. We will change the practice to Monday at 5 (game schedule willing). Sorry for the mix up. Boys did great tonight!
